wall48 & wall

Wall48 & Wall: Buschfeld wall track formed the basis for the LightLight collection. Professor Hans Buschfeld developed the lighting system in 1989, his goal being to enable appropriate lighting solutions for works of art – driven by his dissatisfaction with the poor solutions available to date for illuminating pictures. In conjunction with your planning, the underlying concept with regard to mounting the wall track, and the track layout itself, is the same for both LightLight (12 volt) and Sense System (48 volt). The modular system, which comprises a range of system components such as corner connectors, feed points and sections of track, enables you to design a layout to meet the requirements of the given space.

The track is fixed in place on the wall (or ceiling) using mounting clips. In the case of wall mounting, it is also possible to hang pictures on the track and illuminate them accordingly. The track layout shows the corners of the space. The track can also be mounted at an angle, aligned to a staircase for example. Buschfeld wall-mounted track is designed for the illumination and hanging of pictures. The picture luminaires extend way above the picture itself and illuminate the artwork to an optimum. The picture can be hung on the luminaire itself, or hung separately using cables or picture frame rods.

Wall track can also be mounted on the ceiling: the track profile then looks very similar to a ceiling trim, but with a designated function . When mounting on a lintel, please take care that it is safe to drill near to the edge.

A particularly minimalist way of using wall track is to mount it purposefully to create a freestanding luminaire without a base. This makes absolute sense in confined spaces. Using mirror tape the wall track can be fixed firmly onto a window pane or any other smooth surface, for example. Power feed and control gear must not be forgotten, of course.

Buschfeld track systems offer numerous advantages, including minimum dimensions and simple installation: lighting fixtures can be mounted, added or replaced subsequent to the original installation, for example on bookshelves.

On the left pendant track mounted using clips for flush mounting. (On the right ceiling track using standard ceiling clips.) The pendant track using clips for flush mounting is a new option. The track profile is smooth with no edges. A cable or a Led Line uplighter module can be run through the upper section of the track profile. The newly developed clip for flush mounting enables Buschfeld to come up with completely new ideas for track system applications. Such as the “Full House: Design by Stefan Diez” exhibition at the MAKK (Museum of Applied Arts) in Cologne, where custom track solutions were elegantly integrated into the uniquely designed shelving system.

Dimensions in millimetres.

The modular system on which Buschfeld lighting systems are based provides numerous advantages: you can design track layouts to suit your/your client’s requirements, using the standard sections of track plus the corner and angle connectors available. When it comes to custom lengths of track or mounting solutions, make a rough sketch of what you are designing and send us an e-mail.
